Look out too for the geometrically styled Level 2 EVM9, new downdraft Level 3 and Level 2 models and more. “An effective extractor is a must in any kitchen,” says CDA’s Marketing Manager Sally Stothard, “but looks are becoming as important as performance. Our new models for the show are the perfect combination of leading-edge style and superior extraction.”

Energy Saving Trust Recommended

Great news! Various CDA appliances are now recommended by the Energy Saving Trust. Integrated washing machine CI394, integrated intelligent dishwasher VW80 and integrated slimline dishwasher CW448 now display the Energy Saving Recommended logo, a sure sign that these appliances are the most efficient in their category. They will cost less to run and help prevent climate change. They will use less water too!

Energy Saving Recommended appliances have to meet strict criteria to qualify for the scheme. All Energy Saving Recommended washing machines need to be AAA rated: A for energy efficiency, A for spin efficiency and A for wash performance; there is also a maximum level for the amount of power they are allowed to draw while in ‘standby’. An Energy Saving Recommended dishwasher uses 20% less energy than an old model, which will save you around £12 per year on your electricity bill and 48 kilograms of CO2. And if your water is metered, you’ll also save money by using less water per wash cycle.

Add up the savings

If everyone in the UK replaced their old washing machine with an Energy Saving Recommended model over £12 million a year could be saved from our energy bills! If everyone in the UK replaced their old dishwasher with an Energy Saving Recommended model £40 million a year would be saved and 170,000 tonnes of CO2. It costs around 20% less to run a cycle on an energy saving dishwasher as it does on an old, inefficient machine. To add to the benefits, Energy Saving Recommended dishwashers also use less water.

CDA products on show at Gadget Show Live!

CDA appliances were on show at the Gadget Show Live Exhibition recently. They were featured in the Future Kitchens area, on local kitchen designer and retailer The Kitchen and Bathroom Company’s space-age stand.

After scouring the UK, The Gadget Show team selected local designers The Kitchen & Bathroom Company to design its “future homes” kitchen at its major exhibition at the NEC Birmingham on 17 – 19th April 2009.  The kitchen featured state of the art appliances including CDA’s integrated draught  beer dispenser which is the ultimate appliance for home entertaining, and CDA’s double dishDrawer dishwasher with drawer compartments to save water and conserve energy. The exhibition attracted over 30,000 visitors over the three day period.

A spokesperson for The Kitchen and Bathroom Company commented  “our future homes kitchen was manic and certainly the hub of the exhibition, with so much interest in both the appliances & our design service from people all over the UK, including the Grand Designs programme which is shown on Channel 4”.

CDA Products on Show at Ecobuild

CDA kitchen appliances were featured at Ecobuild exhibition, which was held on 3rd-5th March at Earls Court. CDA’s flagship 6Q6 oven was featured prominently on the Chamois stand, along with several other CDA products.

Ecobuild exhibition was held on 3rd -5th March at Earls Court in London. Now in its fifth year, and with 800 exhibitors, Ecobuild presented a showcase of sustainable construction products, plus dozens of inspiring attractions and more than 100 free conference and seminar sessions.

CDA kitchen appliances were featured at Ecobuild on the Chamois stand, helping to create a real buzz around the stand. Chamois supplies high quality kitchens, made from 100% recycled timber panels. Here at CDA, we are constantly looking at ways to improve the efficiency of our appliances by ensuring that energy and water consumption is kept to a minimum, without compromising on performance. A great example of this is that, by June, all but one of our dishwashers will be AAA rated!
