CDA kitchen appliances were featured at Ecobuild exhibition, which was held on 3rd-5th March at Earls Court. CDA’s flagship 6Q6 oven was featured prominently on the Chamois stand, along with several other CDA products.

Ecobuild exhibition was held on 3rd -5th March at Earls Court in London. Now in its fifth year, and with 800 exhibitors, Ecobuild presented a showcase of sustainable construction products, plus dozens of inspiring attractions and more than 100 free conference and seminar sessions.

CDA kitchen appliances were featured at Ecobuild on the Chamois stand, helping to create a real buzz around the stand. Chamois supplies high quality kitchens, made from 100% recycled timber panels. Here at CDA, we are constantly looking at ways to improve the efficiency of our appliances by ensuring that energy and water consumption is kept to a minimum, without compromising on performance. A great example of this is that, by June, all but one of our dishwashers will be AAA rated!

CDA appliances chosen by Sky1’s Noel’s HQ for surprise refurbishment of charity NWAA’s crew room.

The North West Air Ambulance (NWAA) is a unique regional medical air emergency service covering Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and Cumbria.

Established in 1999, the NWAA is a registered charity receiving no mainstream funding, yet it offers a vital service seven days a week, 365 days a year across 5,500 square miles, serving a residential population of seven million people.

Costing just over £1.3 million a year to maintain, the NWAA covers all major motorway incidents and areas that have poor and restricted road access. On average, the NWAA is called out four times a day, rising up to ten in the summer. While the incidents vary greatly, there are two over-riding factors for the NWAA’s presence – either because time is extremely crucial or where road access is limited.

“We were delighted to be able to help,” commented Marketing Manager Sally Stothard. “This is such a worthwhile charity and it was terrible to hear that the crew had nowhere to wash clothes or heat food. We were thrilled to be able to help. Our appliances are ultra reliable and backed by a five year guarantee with the best service back up in the business, so we know the equipment we have donated will provide trouble free facilities for the air ambulance crew.”

Over 1.7 million viewers saw the programme. Above, crew member Justin Mawtus meets the family of Molly who owes her life to the speed and expertise of the North West Air Ambulance. One of the crew’s problems was that they had nowhere to wash their orange overalls after attending accidents – swiftly solved by CDA’s donation of a new washing machine.

ISO9001 Accreditation

CDA are delighted to announce that they have been awarded ISO9001 accreditation.

This is a great endorsement of the company’s meticulous and determined approach to everything they do. Ian Kershaw, MD of CDA, comments: “Product quality and rigorous testing procedures have always been particularly important to CDA so we are pleased that this has been confirmed formally with ISO9001 accreditation. It demonstrates to both our customers and suppliers our commitment to quality in all aspects of our working relationships. It will also provide a framework for continuous improvement for all of our processes in the future.”

CDA Washer Dryer is Which? Best Buy

The CDA CI950 washer dryer has been put through its paces in the October issue of Which? and has emerged with a Best Buy™ status.

Eighteen free standing and built-in appliances were rigorously tested and of the six built in models, the CDA one beat off competition from Whirlpool, Indesit, Bosch and Smeg to emerge the pick of the crop.

Described as ‘a great built-in option with particularly strong results in the washing tests”, the testers praised the fact that the drying capacity is the same as the wash load, alleviating the need to remove wet garments at the end of the wash cycle. It was also the only machine that did not use water as part of its drying cycle. Which? says it’s the best model for homeowners whose water consumption is metered. CDA’s five year guarantee was also highlighted.

Grease, ink, cosmetics, milk and olive oil were just some of the ‘stains’ that Which? used to test the cleaning performance of the eighteen appliances whilst the drying programme was evaluated for energy consumption and for thoroughness throughout the load by weighing individual items at the end of the ‘iron-dry’ programme. Water retention can vary from as little as 3% for a sheet to more than 20% for jeans or a towel.

CDA’s Marketing Manager, Sally Stothard, says “We are thrilled to receive such recognition for the quality of our appliances. CDA stands for great designs and high performance at affordable prices and this independent report endorses that magnificently.”
