We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all tasks related to stock management and rotation are completed, while adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- To check all equipment that you are required to use in order to complete your daily work related tasks and record said checks on relevant sheets and defects reports as provided by CDA.
- Work to standard operating procedures in line with company policy as amended from time to time.
- Deal with inbound vehicles following CDA company SOP’s as amended from time to time.
- Ensure safe handling, storage & repacking of all products in line with stock locations, rotation and TPQ policies.
- High level of care and accuracy with pick operations.
- Load distribution vehicles in a safe, presentable manner and highlight all errors and damages prior to completion.
- Maintain high standards of site house-keeping and view all areas including the warehouse as an extension of our showroom.
- Deal with trade counter customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with inventory counting as and when required.
- Put improvement suggestions forward where appropriate.
- Assist other team members as necessary.
- Support Controllers and Co-Ordinators with all day to day tasks.
- To action any other reasonable task to fulfil the operational needs of the business.
- Any other reasonable duties as allocated by the Controllers, Co-Ordinators or Company Director.
- Maintain high levels of Health and Safety awareness and report any areas of concern to management immediately.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an excellent communicator, focused on accuracy with good numerical skills. The successful candidate will remain calm under pressure and be detailed orientated. The candidate should have an FLT Counter Balance and Reach Licence.
It is desirable for candidates to have a basic H&S certificate or higher, as well as basic IT skills in SAP/ excel/word/outlook
What you will get in return
Shift patterns are 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. Morning shift 06:00–14:00 and afternoon shift 14:00–22:00. Rotating on a weekly basis. These are subject to change based on operational requirements.
