CDA returns to profitability as we outperform the UK appliance market in 2025

Hand on CDA oven handle

We are proud to announce that CDA has returned to profitability for the first time since 2020, following a strong performance in 2025 that saw us outperform the wider UK appliance market across all four of our core categories. During the year, we reported turnover of £42m and improved profitability before tax by £3.4m, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing transformation journey after an eighteen-month period of restructuring and operational reset. These results represent an important step forward for our business and reflect the continued investment we have made across customer service, operations, product development and partner support.

Strong growth across all key categories

In 2025, we achieved growth ahead of the wider UK appliance market in cooking, refrigeration, washing and companion appliances, helping us secure further market share gains across the UK. Based on AMDEA data, the overall appliance market is estimated to have grown by 0.4% in volume terms during the year, while our own volumes increased by 7%. This performance has been supported by closer collaboration with our parent company, Amica Group, and our European subsidiaries, helping us improve supply chain efficiency, strengthen margin performance and successfully introduce new product ranges and the Matrix sub-brand into the UK market.

Continuing to invest in service and customer experience

While the appliance sector is often seen as highly price-driven, we believe our 2025 results demonstrate the growing importance of reliability, aftersales support and service quality in purchasing decisions. Throughout the year, we continued investing in the customer experience through:
  • Our UK-based customer care team
  • Industry-leading first-time fix rates
  • Maintaining our Trustpilot “Great” rating
  • Launching our lifetime parts warranty
  • Renewing our engineering and delivery fleets
We have also continued strengthening relationships with our retailers, developers, kitchen specialists and trade partners by making it easier to work with CDA across every stage of the customer journey, from onboarding and ordering through to delivery and ongoing support.

Recognition for our ethical approach

Alongside our commercial progress, we also became the first and only kitchen appliance brand to receive ethical accreditation from The Good Shopping Guide, recognising our commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainability.

A message from our leadership team

Chris Ward, managing director of CDA Group Ltd, said:
“Returning to profitability at PBT level for the first time since 2020 is a significant milestone for the business and reflects the progress we have made over the past 18 months. “We have focused on strengthening the fundamentals across service, product and partnerships, and it is particularly encouraging to see that we are outperforming the wider market across all four of our key categories. “That momentum is translating into market share gains and provides a strong platform for future growth.”
Chris added:
“2025 marks the first year of our three-year financial transformation and we are encouraged to be ahead of plan. This progress is a testament to the efforts of the entire team, and I would like to recognise their outstanding contribution since our recovery began in October 2024.”
Robert Stobiński, group CEO and president at Amica, added:
“CDA’s performance in 2025 reflects the impact of the actions taken to strengthen the business. “Outperforming the market while returning to profitability is a strong result, and the progress made in the first year of the transformation programme provides confidence as the business continues to accelerate into 2026.”»

Looking ahead

As we move into 2026, we do so with a strong forward order book already in place, giving us confidence for the year ahead and supporting expectations of continued momentum. We remain focused on building on the foundations established in 2025 as we continue investing in product innovation, customer service and long-term partnerships across the UK kitchen appliance sector.
