CDA Washer Dryer is Which? Best Buy

The CDA CI950 washer dryer has been put through its paces in the October issue of Which? and has emerged with a Best Buy™ status.

Eighteen free standing and built-in appliances were rigorously tested and of the six built in models, the CDA one beat off competition from Whirlpool, Indesit, Bosch and Smeg to emerge the pick of the crop.

Described as ‘a great built-in option with particularly strong results in the washing tests”, the testers praised the fact that the drying capacity is the same as the wash load, alleviating the need to remove wet garments at the end of the wash cycle. It was also the only machine that did not use water as part of its drying cycle. Which? says it’s the best model for homeowners whose water consumption is metered. CDA’s five year guarantee was also highlighted.

Grease, ink, cosmetics, milk and olive oil were just some of the ‘stains’ that Which? used to test the cleaning performance of the eighteen appliances whilst the drying programme was evaluated for energy consumption and for thoroughness throughout the load by weighing individual items at the end of the ‘iron-dry’ programme. Water retention can vary from as little as 3% for a sheet to more than 20% for jeans or a towel.

CDA’s Marketing Manager, Sally Stothard, says “We are thrilled to receive such recognition for the quality of our appliances. CDA stands for great designs and high performance at affordable prices and this independent report endorses that magnificently.”

CDA supports healthy eating campaign

CDA have supplied the kitchen appliances in Jamie Oliver’s latest project to get Britain eating more healthily.

The ‘Ministry of Food’ in Rotherham will be used to encourage more people to cook from scratch in their own homes.  Jamie and his team of volunteers will show locals how to cook 10 simple, nutritious meals and then ask them to pass on their new skills to others.

The products selected for the project were the Level 2 DV990 double oven, the HCG930 6 burner gas hob, the CIGE9 island hood, the shower spray TP2 tap and under mount sink.

The use of domestic appliances will allow visitors to the centre to easily transfer their skills to their own kitchen, ensuring that the project becomes a success.

Currently under construction the centre is due to open its doors soon. The television series surrounding the Ministry of food will be shown in September on Channel 4.
