CDA takes KBB by storm!

CDA has taken its largest stand ever at KBB, the industry’s main trade exhibition. The stand was the biggest by far in the Kitchens section of the show, and CDA products were also displayed on 6 other stands! Over 30 brand new products were launched, and a number of important product improvements were also introduced at the show.

Kitchen retailers, architects, developers and interior designers were all able to see the vast range of CDA products available in the 2010 range. The show was a launch pad for some 30 new products as well as an opportunity to demonstrate advanced improvements to many products in the level 1 and 2 cooking ranges. New product highlights on the stand were a downdraft extractor, a remote control curved glass extractor, a unique ice maker and chilled water dispenser in a compact format, an extended range of compact cooking appliances, a compact wine cooler, a glass sink and much more. A big surprise at the show was the unveiling of CDA’s innovative range of concept ovens. Six ovens clad in top quality leather took centre stage on the stand, together with an interactive touch screen oven “Sensor” and an oven operated by remote control “Commander”, confirming CDA’s commitment to innovative thinking and future product development.

The show was a great success, buzzing with activity from opening right through to closing time each day. MD Ian Kershaw commented “We were delighted to welcome so many new and existing customers to our stand, and to give them the opportunity to see for themselves the quality and beauty of our products. We had the largest stand of any kitchen appliance brand at the show, which reflects our confidence in our product range and indeed in our expectations of the year to come.”

CDA’s biggest stand ever at KBB!

CDA will have its biggest ever stand at KBB2010 (the Kitchen, Bathroom and Bedroom industry’s two yearly trade show) and is following a year of successful trading, including several record-breaking months, with a fabulous selection of brand new products plus improved specifications on many existing models.

KBB will see the launch of 35 new products for 2010. Brand new extractor hoods will be featured on the stand with new, design-led additions that combine superior performance and features with good looks. The new 3C9 level three model is just part of the line up, Suitable for either ducted or re-circulating use, the 3C9 has an impressive extraction rate of 703m3/hr, touch controls, remote control, CleanAir function and a 15 minute timer. Equally impressive is the Level 3 3L9 (shown)which is designed to hang on metal cables above the hob and features LED lighting and additional ambient downlighting.

Look out too for the geometrically styled Level 2 EVM9, new downdraft Level 3 and Level 2 models and more. “An effective extractor is a must in any kitchen,” says CDA’s Marketing Manager Sally Stothard, “but looks are becoming as important as performance. Our new models for the show are the perfect combination of leading-edge style and superior extraction.”

Energy Saving Trust Recommended

Great news! Various CDA appliances are now recommended by the Energy Saving Trust. Integrated washing machine CI394, integrated intelligent dishwasher VW80 and integrated slimline dishwasher CW448 now display the Energy Saving Recommended logo, a sure sign that these appliances are the most efficient in their category. They will cost less to run and help prevent climate change. They will use less water too!

Energy Saving Recommended appliances have to meet strict criteria to qualify for the scheme. All Energy Saving Recommended washing machines need to be AAA rated: A for energy efficiency, A for spin efficiency and A for wash performance; there is also a maximum level for the amount of power they are allowed to draw while in ‘standby’. An Energy Saving Recommended dishwasher uses 20% less energy than an old model, which will save you around £12 per year on your electricity bill and 48 kilograms of CO2. And if your water is metered, you’ll also save money by using less water per wash cycle.

Add up the savings

If everyone in the UK replaced their old washing machine with an Energy Saving Recommended model over £12 million a year could be saved from our energy bills! If everyone in the UK replaced their old dishwasher with an Energy Saving Recommended model £40 million a year would be saved and 170,000 tonnes of CO2. It costs around 20% less to run a cycle on an energy saving dishwasher as it does on an old, inefficient machine. To add to the benefits, Energy Saving Recommended dishwashers also use less water.

CDA products on show at Gadget Show Live!

CDA appliances were on show at the Gadget Show Live Exhibition recently. They were featured in the Future Kitchens area, on local kitchen designer and retailer The Kitchen and Bathroom Company’s space-age stand.

After scouring the UK, The Gadget Show team selected local designers The Kitchen & Bathroom Company to design its “future homes” kitchen at its major exhibition at the NEC Birmingham on 17 – 19th April 2009.  The kitchen featured state of the art appliances including CDA’s integrated draught  beer dispenser which is the ultimate appliance for home entertaining, and CDA’s double dishDrawer dishwasher with drawer compartments to save water and conserve energy. The exhibition attracted over 30,000 visitors over the three day period.

A spokesperson for The Kitchen and Bathroom Company commented  “our future homes kitchen was manic and certainly the hub of the exhibition, with so much interest in both the appliances & our design service from people all over the UK, including the Grand Designs programme which is shown on Channel 4”.
